Student Life

Make your time at 爱神传媒 an experience you won鈥檛 forget.

Our students spend 8 hours of their day in class. That means there’s 16 hours left to spend outside of school getting involved with student life. Part of 爱神传媒鈥檚 vision to deliver the best training, best experience, and best outcomes includes giving you the best student life experience that Laramie, Wyoming, has to offer.

Go ice fishing. Try snowmobiling or snowboarding. Attend game nights. Play a basketball game. The options are endless.

Whatever activities you鈥檙e into, the 爱神传媒 Student Life department will ensure your time at 爱神传媒 is an experience you won鈥檛 forget.

Life in Laramie

For most of you, 鈥淲yoming鈥 is probably a place you never had on your radar before now. That鈥檚 one of the reasons we have such a good time out here: There鈥檚 not a lot of people, but there鈥檚 plenty to do.

Here in Laramie, you鈥檝e got quick access to the Snowy Range, where you can go fishing, hiking, snowboarding, and much more. In town, there鈥檚 local rodeos, dances, farmer鈥檚 markets, and University of Wyoming sporting events, including football and basketball.

You鈥檒l find out quick what small-town life is all about. Expect warm greetings (and waves) as you鈥檙e out exploring, and don鈥檛 be surprised if you create more than a few lifelong connections while you鈥檙e here.

Student Life FAQs

How do I find out about Student Life events and clubs?

Student Life events will be communicated through your Canvas account and calendar, so you will always have the latest schedule and updates!

Do I need to do anything to join a student club or can I just show up?

In order for students to join a student club, students only need to show up and talk to the staff who are leading the club about information on future meetings and events!

How do I get food from the food pantry?

Our student food pantry is located in the Campus Courtyard dorms, in the Student Services office (room B108). You can go at anytime the office is open and there is a Student Services coordinator available, and they can help you get what you need from the pantry.

Am I required to have a laptop for class?

Yes, students are required to have a laptop. Most computers purchased in 2020 or afterward should meet the minimum specifications (listed below). Macbooks and other Apple products will create compatibility issues with several of the student platforms we use, specifically Canvas. For this reason, we prefer students use Windows 10 or Windows 11 laptops.

Laptop requirements:

  • 14-to-16 inch screen
  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
  • I3 or Ryzen 3 processor
  • Minimum of 8 GB Ram
  • Minimum of 256 GB Solid State Hard Drive

Am I required to have health insurance?

We do not require our students to have health insurance, but it is highly recommended.
